How to examine Indispositions
Examination of a disordered posture starts with the observation of the behaviour of the student, pupil, musician
The observations follows the below mentioned line:
- the gait
- the stance, with form and position of feet and knees
- the way of sitting
- the position of the pelvis, in stance and sitting
- the position of the head and shoulders in stance and sitting
- the expression of the body totally
- defining the several disorders of posture discussed in chapter 12 of part 1 if present.
- observing the way of moving and trying to define the characteristics
- diagnosing the motorical way of moving, gross-motoric, fine-motoric, eccentric or concentric
- trying to fix stereotype dominant motor patterns with and without playing, with the principal and the secondary instrument.
After examining students on this way, in part 6a till 6th further indications for further examination of stereotype dominant wrong motor patterns in connection to playing technique.
The three important parts of the investigation are:
- General investigation (observation) of:
- Behaviour
- Superficious judgement of body-building
- Posture and movement
- Motoric ripeness c.q. visible or testable diseases
- Specification of disorders of posture.
- Special investigation
- of musical and technical development.
- Ergonomic situation of instrument.
- The streaming of the investigation:
- Anamnesis general as above mentioned.
- Anamnesis of the lapse of the puberty (situation of the parental home, school, lapse of study, special circumstances etc.
- Actual Sit.Actual state of psychic situation
- Results of investigation of others (p.e. doctors or psychologists, teachers etc.)
- Posture description
- Movement; free, inhibited, clumsy, extraordinary rich, extra ordinary badly developed a.s.o..
- Psycho-Domnance - Right or left handed ( writing with the dominance right or left hand).
- Breathing-Technique in rest, in action, during playing, singing, blowing.
- Hereditary Disorders like club-foot, coxae valga a.s.o.)
- Traumatic Disorders - describe, which, what, where, and the eventual rest damage.
- Kind of Teachers till yet. Describe: humanity, character, methods a.s.o..
- Methodical Influences on instrumental technique.
- Performance if instruments are available.
